The project has succeeded in creating an awareness among the ethnic afghans and Indian origin afghans that self-reliance is possible for them in India. This awareness is yet to be instilled in the Burmese refugees. The confidence of ethnic afghan refugee women in their ability to contribute towards their livelihood needs have increased. The Indian origin and Burmese women are yet to realise their potential in creating additional income to support their livelihood needs.

The life skills training has brought about a marked attitudinal change among the refugee youth and have prepared them to face the difficulties of life with a positive frame of mind.

The inclusion of Indian poor in the programme has helped in creating a better rapport with the Indian neighbours and refugees. Also the implementation of the programme has helped the agency to understand better the needs and aspirations of various refugee groups
